Michael Wagner founded Orentara and builds its websites and automations himself. An engineer by training, he has spent his career connecting websites, databases and business processes, and now focuses on automating compliance work under the GDPR, AML rules and the UAE PDPL.
Background and experience
- Trained at two Austrian technical colleges (HTL): mechanical engineering and automation, and building construction.
- Built 3D product configurators for industrial companies early on, connected to their database systems.
- Ran his own international trading business and developed its custom ERP, with CRM, an online shop and Google Ads marketing.
- Learned the daily side of trade from the inside: import and export documentation, and keeping data in sync across systems.
- In recent years: custom automation on Zoho, WordPress, Zapier, Make, n8n and Payload CMS.
- Focus on compliance: AML and GDPR processes connected to external APIs, with fully automated screening and reporting across several tools.
