Take two consultancies doing the same work. One is licensed on the Abu Dhabi mainland, so its business website answers to the UAE Federal PDPL. The other is set up in ADGM on Al Maryah Island, so it answers to the ADGM Data Protection Regulations 2021.
The two are close relatives, not twins. ADGM is modelled on the GDPR and has its own supervisor, the ADGM Office of Data Protection. The federal law is consent-first. A contact form built for one is not automatically right for the other.

Our website already exists. Do we need a new one?
