Issued through the Emirate of Dubai. IFZA says it must be renewed every year; a missed renewal can bring fines and blocks new visas.

A plain .ae domain needs no documents; co.ae needs a UAE trade licence, and a free zone licence counts.

Questions from new IFZA companies
Which data-protection law applies to an IFZA company website?
The Federal PDPL, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021. IFZA is outside DIFC and ADGM, the only two zones with their own data-protection laws. Under the federal law, optional analytics and marketing tags wait for the visitor to agree.
Can we register a .co.ae domain with an IFZA license?
A co.ae domain needs a UAE trade licence, and free zone licences are accepted. The name has to be closely connected to your licensed company name. We check eligibility when we register, in your company name.
Our IFZA license came with a flexi desk. Do we still need a proper website?
Especially then. Without an office to visit, the website and your email address are what makes the company real to a bank, a supplier or a client. It does not have to be big, but it has to be yours and it has to work.
What does the setup cost?
